Howdy, y'all! It's been a while since I've posted one of these, hasn't it? A year to the day since my last post...

Let's get down to brass tacks.

First, The next installment of Silver Ghost is still being worked on. I had intended to release it yesterday, but I had so many other projects going on earlier this month that still need to see the light of day that I couldn't get this chapter ready in time for the 31st.

As such, I'll try and get it posted some time before or after Thanksgiving.

On the subject of Silver Ghost and related talking train works... First, I will come right out and state that White Rock Run has been officially canceled! I last touched the document three years ago, and in that time, I lost interest in the story. Combined with writing Silver Ghost, I've only got enough motivation to work on one talking train project at a time. So, I'll be removing the posted chapters over the coming month.:(

Second, I would like to know how many of my watchers are interested in seeing the Silver Ghost story completed.

I'm asking this because, over the last few years, I've noticed that I've slowly started to lose interest in talking trains, and as I approach my 30th Birthday in 2024, that interest is taking a nose dive off a cliff.

There's also the fact that I'm slowly hammering out an anthro western with the working title "𝘐𝘯𝘡𝘰 𝘡𝘩𝘦 𝘞π˜ͺ𝘭π˜₯𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴." Frankly, I’ve found that I’m just more interested in getting this written than any talking train works now.

So I would love to hear y'all’s opinion on the matter.

And that brings us to the future of this account going forward.

  1. Aside from finishing Silver Ghost, do not expect any talking train works from this account in the near future.

  2. Assuming the response to Into the Wilderness goes well once it's released (Not for a year or two; I'm not making that mistake again), I'll be posting the continuing adventures of the cast in future stories.

  3. If I can figure out how to draw correctly, So this may or may not come to pass, I might whip up some simple character profiles for the cast of my Western.

  4. The bred and butter on this account for the near future will be Trainz 2019 route releases and update pics.

So please, I want everyone's opinion on this update and plan for the future. If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask, and I'll answer them as best as I can.

Anyway, thank you for understanding, and if I don't post another one of these journals this month, have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

This is GH22, and I've got a train to catch!

P.S. Keep an eye out for a big Trainz release around the 24th/25th of December...;)

HAPPY 150th!

2 min read
150 years ago today. Two rail line's came together at Promontory Summit Utah to complete a single span of steel linking the untapped resources of the west coast to the industrial east.

To mark the occasion, two trains from the east and west were dispatched to Promontory along with the heads of the two railroads to witness the driving of the finale three Railroad spikes.

A spike of Iron from the Arizona Territory, one of Silver from Nevada and a finale spike of 17.6 Karat gold form California.

Representing the west coast was the Central Pacific railroad and their engine the Jupiter while representing the east coast was the Union Pacific Railroad and the engine 119.

So it was on may 10th, 1869 that the two engine eased towards one another, their pilots almost head to head as the finale golden spike was preparing to be driven.

First up to bat was CP President Leland Stanford. Who took up a silver spike maul then swung...and missed the spike. Up next was UP President Thomas C. Durant...who also missed the spike, so the driving of the finale spike fell to a lowly track worker who's name was lost to history.

DONE

That single word rang across the Nation with the blowing of whistles, the tolling of church bells and cheers of jubilation.

The transcontinental Railroad had been completed!

Howdy y'all!
Been a while since my last journal entry hasn't it?

Anyway, i'm gonna cut right to the chase.

For the past few weeks I've been working on a train animation with Mine-Imator and it's just about ready for a public release. However, with it being this close to completion I thought i'ed run a demo release by y'all to get y'all's opinions on how it looks and if anything should be re-filmed or edited.

Note. There is no sound. It'll be added in once i can find some good quality steam locomotive sound effects.

just leave y'all thoughts here and i'll get to them ASAP.

Till then, Take care y'all!
